My honest opinion they need to scrap code lyoko evolution and go back to TBE first season when it was all animated I use to watch code lyoko alot when I was a kid and now they doing it wrong it sad but I really hope they do better on the next code lyoko series

Some things I like to notice though about the characters and the overall story: -I do like the way how Odd had a role that made him feel like he was suppose to be the protagonist of the show. He meets up with a group of people and forms a bond with them, who later turn out to be gifted with superpowers after fighting a mysterious force that threatens to destroy the world. And it can inferred that Jeremie, Ulrich, and Yumi have been constantly fighting with them for a while. -Odd being fearful over what's happening, he was shocked, bewildered, at a extreme disbelief over what he witnessed and what's he's experiencing with his new friends. I feel this was done a lot more realistically than what the prequel episodes X.A.N.A. Awakens part 1 and 2 that Code Lyoko season 3 gave us and it made me wish they done those episodes as a nod and tribute to Garage Kids by remaking this into the episode instead. His reactions and all, seeing that he was about to embark in an adventure to protect Earth in which he seemed very hesitant and frightened about. -Yumi and Ulrich, in this short, their relationship seems to be a lot more closer here than in Code Lyoko. As stated by Jeremie, they both train and spar with each other everyday and thus seemingly spend a lot more time together. This is partially retained in Code Lyoko, where they do occasionally spar with each other but they struggle to spend time in general due to various circumstances. I.E. X.A.N.A. attacks, Sissi's antics, or balancing studies and school work. Garage Kids seemingly had a lot plan for them to be together later down the line, and this is further indicated by the artwork seen in the credits, all of which were reused for Code Lyoko Season 1 as well. -Garage Kids feels a lot more gloomier, you can say it has a darker atmosphere too but at the same time there's a brighter hope of a peaceful world, in a form of the Lyoko Warriors (or Xanadu Warriors in this case) who stand in the way of the danger that threatens their world they fight to protect. Some episodes of Code Lyoko do show off this kind of vibe. Given from what the creators of the series has stated, Garage Kids was meant to a lot less playful, soft or artificial that cartoons generally had and wanted a show that had suspense, tension, and tragedy. We still got these themes in Code Lyoko overall though for the most part thankfully. Overall though, if the creators were able to retain their original vision of the series and manage to get it greenlit for production, I don't think it would have been that different from Code Lyoko in terms of its story. The major differences is the atmosphere and perhaps there wouldn't have been an Aelita, maybe X.A.N.A. would have still existed in some way or another. I am still glad we got Code Lyoko in the end, but I wish we had this too as a full series.
